The 411

Man oh man -- time flies when you're an entrepreneur! Ha. First things first: I am now integrating DA BRACE into my life! And working from home certainly helps, since I am technically "just hanging around the house" almost full time, and that was the stipulation for when to wear DA BRACE.

There it is, my new friend. And my St. Jude Marathon toenail is no longer 100% black and blue!

I went to two different meetings on Tuesday. Thus, I got some marching orders from two different entities about multiple projects. Hooray! So on Wednesday (my 3rd wedding anniversary, in fact) I was officially "billing." (Although, now that I think of it, the meetings count, too...)

Due to computer strategy stuff, I had to work in the living room on the floor. Our desktop CPU is now in there, and the TV is the monitor. It wasn't comfortable, but it was only for a day.

My work area, complete with bluetooth keyboard and mouse -- Chasen is a GENIUS!!!

And below is the dessert I made the night before for my book club. That's right - I draw AND bake. Ha! Seriously, though, it is a very easy recipe.

Chocolate cheesecake - recipe courtesy of Jack, brother of college friend Melissa

And today I was back on "Silver" (also know as my snazzy new laptop). My for-now workspace is the kitchen counter/bar area -- until my work desk arrives. It was TONS better than being on the floor! Ha. And I had an extremely productive day. All is well in the land of "working for myself." And I am VERY thankful.

Current workstation -- hopefully not for more than 2 more weeks.

My new website is very, very close to being ready to launch. I have Elijah's dad, Britt, to thank for that. I knew, stylistically, what I wanted but was having a heck of a time making it work. He stepped in and now I am flying!

Elijah continues to have clean scans! I have meant to address that for AGES, but obviously have not done it. So everyone hop on over to his site and check out the good news!

Congrats on working for yourself! It sounds like you are having fun! That cheese cake looks like a piece of art...it is beautiful! The brace looks alot friendlier then that boot thats for sure. Thank you so much for all your sweet and supportive comments! You are a true inspiration and I hope you can get back out there on the road soon!

Susan, you are a remarkable woman! That chocolate cheesecake looks so YUMMY! I actually don't like cheesecake but I would love to eat all that stuff on top :-)

Looks like the toenail may not fall off after all since it seems to be clearing in color. Hope your new desk arrives soon!
