My soreness has gotten considerably better. I was tired the day after (yesterday). Today I am just about back to normal on that front. And it is hurting less and less to get up from a chair!

I have fifteen marathons under my fuel belt. Thirty-five more to go.

I like the pic! And glad the pain is fading. Hope you don't have too many stairs to maneuver!
I LOVE this!!! ha!
Susan, here's a trick for next time to reduce post-race soreness:
Get into an ice water bath as soon as you can after your race. Fill the tub with COLD water up to your hips. Get in and then put some ice cubes in (I put 10-20 lbs of ice in, but for the first time, just a couple trays is good). Move the water around periodically to make sure the water near your legs stays cold. Stay in for 5-15 minutes.
It is quite painful for the first few minutes while your legs are going numb, but really works wonders later. The ice water cuts down the swelling in your legs significantly, which is a major contributor to post-race soreness. The worst thing one can do is to take a hot shower or go into a jacuzzi after a race as that increases circulation and swelling.
I've run 39 marathons the last few years and swear by them. Elite athletes often do it too. It works!
