Sleeplessness has kept me from running since Thursday, unfortunately. It's hard to get up at 5 AM when you can't close your eyes until the wee hours! As I ran this morning (my 7th run in the new neighborhood) I pondered some ways to remedy the situation. I think I'm on to a good solution. And I'd like to note that this is the first neighborhood I've ever lived in that actually had real sidewalks (not that I use them)! I have always lived in older places, FYI.
For someone who is lacking sleep, I had a lot of pep in my step. Unfortunately my Garmin battery died exactly at 3.10 miles (how funny!) but here are the splits: 13:02, 13:33, 13:00. Wow! Since I am still walking the first quarter mile, those are GRAND in my book. Look out Firecracker 5K!
Chasen bought a new dream-but-within-reason Weber grill over the weekend. We hope to use our stove a whole lot less this summer!

Interesting about the sidewalks. Pretty much everywhere I've lived has had sidewalks, and some were older & newer.
Good luck on your 4th of July 5K!
Great splits considering you are walking 1/4 mile! I never use sidewalks either! Have a great Firecracker!!
Have a great race tonight!!
My mindset right now--basebuilding sucks.......
