98% Humidity

Need I say more? I was supposed to do 3 miles at tempo pace. Maggie and I got out there and immediately it felt like I was sopping wet. Poor Maggie!

As much as I wanted to knock that run out, we just couldn't do it. I'd run a little, then have to walk. It was thick out there. With much disgust I decided to make it through the first mile (albeit slowly) and then walk the rest. Sorry, schedule.

We ended up making it only 2 miles. I was just miserable.

Maggie, FYI, gets in the tub when she is worried about storms, etc. for solace. I'd have much rather been in the empty tub than out there in the nasty humidity!

I don't know how I'll do 5 on Sunday, but I'll try. Stay tuned!

That poor dog. My great big girl (about 90lbs) tries to climb into my lap when the storms come. If she can't get close to me she hides in my husband's coset. So sad...

And I totally agree humidty sucks!

Yep, humidity is tough to run in, especially if you've got a heavy coat that you can't take off!

Ugh, humidity! The worst. It's something we don't even experience to any significant degree in my neck of the woods. That doggie picture...what a look! My pooch has a "safe place" too, under my bed.

The humidity is tough!! And as you also have discovered, the only bearable time is early in the morning. I find that once the sun is up, the heat is very intense.

I tell myself that I am working harder so going shorter or slower I still am getting the workout.

My 8 miler last week took forever, but my heart rate was aerobic and anaerobic the entire time.

Hang in there!

Poor puppy... poor you. Hope it gets colder for you soon.
