Run #1 - A No Go

I hate to start my first ever blog entry this way, but I skipped my run this morning! This is my ninth week of training for the World Wide Half Marathon www.worldwidehalf.com, and this is my second time to skip a run. The first time was due to being extremely sore after water skiing (or trying to water ski, actually). I am OK with it, though. My absolute favorite running podcaster, Steve Runner, did a whole podcast on the importance of rest. Sometimes, we just need a day off. Check out his AMAZING podcast. It is called Phedippedations and can be found at www.steverunner.com He has really been an inspiration to me. I have also been motivated by the non-fiction of John "The Penguin" Bingham. I highly enourage anyone who runs, or who wonders what it would be like to run, to read his work. Your local library should have some of his books.

I am scheduled to do a 4-mile easy run tomorrow. Hopefully you will be able to read all about it!
