Another Rest Day


I took my normal day off yesterday (after the longrun). Then last night I hardly slept half the night. So, I skipped my run this morning and decided to get an extra hour of sleep. I plan to stick to my normal weekly schedule from here on out... which means I won't run tomorrow, also. So - running on Wednesday!

A rest day is not such a bad thing. Since your long run is almost as long as a marathon, I would expect the recovery to be similar. After my really long runs I found I needed to take 2 days off.

Be sure to take any vitamins you take - watch around sick people. The long runs can also weaken your immune system. At least, that is what I heard. I have been careful that way myself.
