My New Wheels

I did it! I went and bought a bike! Mine is just like this one, I think, except a beautiful royal blue. It is a 2007 Cannondale Synapse. It is super lightweight. And it fits in my car.

I also purchased a helmet, bike shorts (I never knew they were padded!) and gloves. Tomorrow is day one with my new friend. My salesman told me that runners take to cycling a lot easier than cyclists take to running. We shall see!

OMG, that is a super bike! Much more bike than I thought you'd be getting but, obviously, you are viewing it as an investment, which is good.

You'll be able to do long rides on that, like the MS150, as well as race triathlons & duathlons, should you choose. In addition to having other options when injured, you're going to find that riding is *much* more pleasant than running on hot, humid summer days because of the breeze you create while moving faster. Have a BLAST!!!

Welcome to the world of biking! It is a lot more expensive than running so be prepared. Most say that the bike is the most fun of the two sports. Biking makes one feel like a kid again.
Remember the Cruisers bike every Sunday at 1:30pm and you are always welcome to join us, even though its a pretty good drive for you. There is always newer riders there too. Annette will be getting a new road bike soon so maybe we can all ride the River Trail some. Biking is a lot of fun and it is great cross training. See you on the road!

Oooh, that's a beautiful bike! Welcome to your new obsession, my bicycle ended up staying in the house with me the first week because I was so in love with it (still am, but dh started to not so subtly hint that he wasn't thrilled with sharing the living room with it)
