Beautiful Day

Today is far too beautiful a day to not get out there and do something. So I brought Daisy out of semi-retirement and went for a 9.11 mile ride. Gosh - I felt so ALIVE out there. It was well worth it.

A week ago Chasen and I went and saw Run Fat Boy Run. I have to say, the only reason I went to see it was because I knew it was at least remotely running related, and I predicted it to be a goofball movie. Well, I am happy to report that we actually really liked it! It is a good date movie. There is "man humor" and also a love story... and a funny main character who ends up running a marathon (and fights to make it to the finish line after an unfortunate injury early on) for nothing else but love. Go see it!

In closing, I have heard about a cool relay race that goes through some historically significant places, none of which I have ever visited. Check it out.

It was a great day down here as well. Glad you got to take advantage of it. I saw soooo many bikers today. Only 2 other runners however.

I would totally love to run a 5k with you, however when I run splits in the 10s I can't breath to talk, so we will have to limit the conversation to before and after. Will you still have trips down to the metroplex since you are a sole proprietor?

Glad to hear you took Daisy for a ride!

I love Simon Pegg - Have you ever seen Shaun of the Dead? One of my top 5 favorites... So I was planning on seeing Run Fat Boy Run. More motivation because of your postive review!

We are going next weekend with another couple to see that movie. Thanks for the review. I'm excited now! My husband wants to see it, but I thought it was just going to be cheesy.

I'm looking out my window now thinking what a nice morning it would be for a run ;)...

Don't let Daisy retire - she's too nice for that.. Or is work swallowing you up?

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.
I'm half crazy to go out for a ride on you!
It might start out really mellow,
But I'll pump it up (I won't be yellow)
I'll ride out with you, Spring makes things seem new,
As I go out on a bike with a view!
