Today I met John down by the Big Dam Bridge. Cycling over it was one of my goals prior to leaving Arkansas. But I told him "Let's go conquer that bridge. And by conquer I mean walk the bike up it." Ha! But you know what? I did it. Twice!
The triumphant view from the top.

Congrats on conquering that bridge. Sounds like a new record bike ride too. Great to hear you're having fun!!
that certainly IS one big damn bridge! so we did the same mileage! It is fun isn't it!
Great ride today!
Congrats on the sale of your house. Fingers crossed it's a smooth process!
I remember the first time I road up the bridge, my quads were screaming. If you want to get really strong do bridge repeats on the bike! Hey by the way, Annette has a new road bike that should be here this week. Maybe we can catch you on the trail sometime.
Bridge stories remind me of Chevy Chase Las Vegas Vacation. Another Griswold vacation movie! They tgour Hoover Dam. "This is the dam tour and I am your dam tour guide..." Of course, it is meant to be taken in the incorrect way...
Glad to see you are enjoying the bicycling!
Congrats on the great ride!
I love riding or running new routes!
Yay for whupping that bridge!! and congrats on the quick sale of your house. Will you be making any of the central AR races later in the year? Memphis has a lot more Sunday and evening events so that will be a definite plus.

Great ride! Looks like a cool bridge to conquer.
Girl! How's the walk? And what a bridge to conquer - wll worth the view! And congrats on the sale of your house - well done on that as well. Looks like it's all happening for you - and as for not sitting still while injured - I think you define that!
