Miss Schedule Misses A Run!

Here is MISS SCHEDULE:

Looks pretty responsible, eh? Well she missed her run today. The mighty have fallen! Here's why.

The strangest thing happened last night at 11:10 PM. We were sound asleep and our security alarm went off! It scared the bejeezus out of us, of course. There was no good reason for it to go off. All was well. However, my heart was racing at 5K pace! I couldn't get back to sleep until about 3 AM. Normally I'd power through, get up at 6 AM and get it done. Today, though, I am working on a huge deadline and thought I'd better get some sleep so I can power through it. Tomorrow is D-Day. Incidentally, I had another big deadline yesterday. Busy, busy week.

And tonight I MUST go see the UltraMarathon Man movie. I have pre-ordered our tickets. I can't fall asleep in there! I have priorities. :)

The alarm company came out to investigate. They suspect the DSL/telephone line as the culprit, so they put on a special filter. Hopefully the problem is solved.

Oh my, if my alarm went off at night, I too would have problems sleeping, esp. if my husband was not home, which is often. Hope the problem is fixed soon. Enjoy the movie!

I'm glad to hear it was a false alarm! But it sucks that it disrupted your sleep.

Go with the flow. One day ain't no thang...

You are (as always) cute as a button! That's a great pic!

And, by the way, the wall color in your picture looks like the same color as my living room.

I would have wet my bed if the alarm went off at that time. Beautiful picture. My little boy has cute little dimples like yours.

Susan, now you know how I feel when my Fire Department pager goes off in the middle of the night! Pure Adrenelin...always takes a while to get back to sleep. Luckily now days I have a vibrating pager which still makes enough noise to wake me up but not nearly as bad as several years ago when it was just an extremely loud beeper going off.

I'm glad to know that it was a false alarm. Sorry to her that happened to you.

I am a safety director and my pager/cell phone does go off in the middle of the night occasionally. It is an important notification, so I handle it and either leave or get back to sleep fairly quickly.
