Nike should take a clue from the Worldwide Half Marathon and include everyone! The Human Race 10K can be officially ran two ways: either at sanctioned races in 25 cities worldwide or by using your Nike Plus device wherever you are (August 31, 2008). Well, I don't like in a Human Race 10K city (or remotely near one) and I don't own a Nike Plus. But I will not be excluded from something cool everyone is doing! So I am just going to do it on my own that day (and then run another 1.2 miles to complete my 8 miles for the day). Take that, Nike! You can now add a 26th city to your list: Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Good for you!! There is actually one in my area and I hope I will be able to do it. I've never run a standalone 10K event!
I'm running it in LA! I'm sorry they don't have on in Mississippi....but good for you for doing it on your own!!!
Woo-hoo! I don't have a Nike Plus either, and I don't have one either, so you can add Jupiter, Florida!
Great idea! I know they are coming to Austin, where I'm at, but I'm not much for big crowds. And, I don't have a Nike thing-a-ma-bob either. So, maybe I'll join you in doing my own!
