Holy moly - it has been an entire week since I got in any mileage. How did that happen? Too busy, too tired, you name it. It was cold and semi-rainy on Saturday when Lisa and I would have met for her longrun. No sense risking illness for me at this point. So that day Chasen and I had a MAJOR housecleaning session. With him working diligently on finishing out our unfinished attic space, there has been sawdust, insulation, etc. everywhere. I was hosting a meeting at our house on Sunday, so the cleaning was necessary. To my surprise, all of the hours spent working on it made me just as sore as walking would have (except my abs were not sore). So that was a workout in itself.
On Monday evening we attended our final Prepared Childbirth class. This included a tour of the labor/delivery area. I must say that I'm just not all that worried about the labor and birth, not from a pain standpoint, anyway. I figure I'll show up at the proper contraction intervals, do exactly what they tell me, and just get through it. I'm sure it won't be a piece of cake, but there's no sense worrying about it.
Today I had another doctor's visit. I liked the stand-in obstetrician much better this time! I am 34 weeks along and Baby Isaac is "head down" and has an "excellent" heart rate. That is good. Afterwards I got my car seat installation inspected. Apparently I did a good job putting it in! Of course they tweaked it a bit, but that's OK. The nursery painting will be complete within 24 hours. Yay! Things are coming together.
After work I met Lisa at the Olive Branch YMCA (she is a member, I was her guest). We walked around the tiny track for a full hour. It was super! I am still in awe of my ability to keep moving. I am very grateful, both for that fact and for Lisa. It's all good!
41 days to go, peeps. Have a great week!

A car seat fitting check - now there's a bright idea! My husband pulled out the manual in the car park as we were about to take our daughter home....
Well done on fitting everything in - you're really nesting now.
Your getting closer everyday. Hang in there!
I started reading your blog a few weeks ago. I remember being at that stage with my babies. It's an exciting time. Congrats--I know you can't wait to welcome little Isaac!
That's fantastic that you're continuing your exercise program - walking is great - I did a lot of that in my 3rdT.
And..oh boy, you are SO CLOSE! Can't wait to see photos of baby!
Wow, how in the world did you get Chasen to help you out with housecleaning? I have to nearly pull teeth to get Dave to do any ...
Anyway, wonderful to hear all is well on the baby front. I once tried running on a tiny rack (13 laps to a mile) a long time ago and found it too small. Walking would be better on that!
You motivated me to get my butt on the treadmill!
All that classwork for something that comes naturally, but yet, little prepwork for parenting... This World is Strange...
(Take the Drugs)
I have NO DOUBT That you installed your carseat perfectly... they probably just made whatever they did up so they could feel important.
(Take the Drugs... just saying... or give them Chasen)
Hey, housework is ALWAYS counted as a workout in my opinion!
