Like Riding A Bike

Yesterday was my day to cycle. Mind you, it has been almost a year since I rode "Daisy," my Cannondale. I was so nervous/scared that I put it off until the last possible minute. I was honestly afraid of crashing. My thought was "If I get hurt, what will come of Isaac?" Silly, huh? Chasen encouraged me to get out there. And I did. You know what? It was like riding a bike! After the first few feet I was happy as a clam. I cruised every street in the neighborhood and scored a 5K PR -- 17:56! If only I had been on my feet...

Today was another C25K run. Have I mentioned in the last five seconds how thrilled I am to be running again? :)

Tomorrow I am going to attempt my post-pregnancy fitness DVD. It is 47 minutes long. In all honesty, I watched it today. Isn't that funny -- watching a workout video! I just wanted to know what all I was in for. Wish me luck!

The Team Point Two website is up. Check it out!

ha ha ha i love it! watching a fitness video! that sounds like something I'd do, only with chips. I too am terrified of getting back on the bike. mostly i'm afraid of getting a flat somewhere in the middle of nowhere with no way to get home! but crashing looms large too. I guess it gets easier. but my heart is in my throat just thinking about it. yikes.

Actually, I've watched a fitness video too before doing it! I usually do it to make sure I know what I'm getting into, what props I need, how much room. And often proper form is really important and hard to do if you're on the floor straining your neck to look at the screen.

Glad to hear you got out for a ride!

I think it makes a whole lot of sense to watch it beforehand! Now you're super prepared. All the best! :)

Susan, first than anything, congratulations to you and your husband for your beautiful baby. God bless your family. I knew the baby was born and I thought often of you. But I didn't want to spoil your happiness with my sadness, so decided to wait.

Please, enjoy every second of your motherhood.

Second, thank you for your words. It has been so hard for me, but I am back.

Take care and again God Bless you, Chasen, and baby Isaac.

Not funny at all! I agree with everyone else that it's actually a great idea to watch an exercise DVD first. For me it's a good way to find out how much dancing is involved, yuck....

Glad to hear you're back on the bike, just be careful, be visible, and always wear your helmet (I know you do anyway!!). Cycling is just sooo much fun, I always feel like a kid.

Fitness videos are hilarious, awesome! Good to see you're out there on the bike, sometimes it's much more fun than a run...sometimes. ;)

Happy Easter!
