Riding The Storm Out
Tonight we had some very, very bad storms pass through practically the whole state. Chasen was "safely" at work, so I was home alone to fend for myself. I prepared the innermost bathroom with the necessities, then got tickled about my selection and decided to take a picture. FYI, the storms are done and all is well. And Chasen is home safe and sound.
The essentials included:
1) candle - in case the power went out
2) water - in case I was "stranded" for a while - must be prepared!
3) landline telephone - even though it is cordless, it would have worked for a while
4) cel phone (not pictured)
5) comfy blanket - the bathtub would be cold!
6) Runner's World -- 'nuff said

Were you a girl scout? LOL
Deadly storms!!! Glad you prepared.. and are OK.
I didn't see any snacks, chocolate....those bare necessities!
I was working on homework and praying the power didn't go out until after I submitted the assignments.
It looks like you were well prepared. Good thing the publication cycle delivered Runner's World just in time for the storm.
I am glad you didn't need to hang out in the tub and that you were not affected by the awful storm!
Glad you were prepared! Perhaps a battery powered radio might be good to have as well? A few years ago a hurricane knocked out cell phone towers, power & our landline so the only way we could find out what was going on was via radio. Hopefully you won't need it but just in case ...
Glad you faired well. The devastation through the south was incredible.
Wow. Hope the storms passed by uneventfully!
Good package for the storm... and congratulations for your new coaching experience. I recommend 4x1 for the first session.
I really like that issue of RW. Glad you were prepared. More glad you were ok.
Lol...you crack me up. I would have been sitting in the dark, completely unprepared, saying Oh S**t.
Be glad that you didn't have my brave little Molly with you... She would have been so scared and frightened. And when she is frightened, she will actively seek out consolation. There would have been no reading!
Not that long ago, we experienced a winter lightning snow storm. It was intense. Knocked out 4 of the circuit breakers on the house. Lightning struck the house 3 houses away from mine. Both Molly and Bowie were fit to be tied. My downstairs TV receiver is still not working. Check this site out for details...

So, I know that storms can get to be very scary!
