Lovely Lisa

Yesterday I got an invitation from Lisa, the runner of Olive Branch, to run together this morning at the city park. Yay! She is also running the Elvis 5K this Saturday.

We met at 5:45 AM. We did quite a bit of walking to warm up (a full mile, according to Lisa). Then we got to it! It was so pleasant; we talked about everything under the sun. I loved it! And we really motivated each other to keep going. It was great.

The city park was quite nice. And huge! There are all sorts of ball fields there, pavilions, a pond with a large dock (and someone was already fishing), a track (hooray!) and NICE restrooms.

We did our miles in 13:47, 14:17, 14:50 and 15:04. Obviously we did a bit of walking -- but not as much as I would have done running on my own. So thanks, Lisa!

Don't worry - we didn't drink and run. HA!

Thanks for the props! Again I really need to thank you. If not for meeting up with you, I would have slept in. I am not a morning person. Instead I feel GREAT and got in the miles I was short on Monday...
