This has nothing to do with running, but it's a big deal to me! One of my oldest and dearest friends, Sharon, inspired me to grow out my hair and donate it to Locks of Love. She has done this at least twice now. From their website:
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.
Since Chasen and I had a trip to Louisiana planned for this weekend and would be driving right through our former hometown (Benton, Arkansas) I decided that this was the perfect time to take the plunge. I made an appointment with my former hair gal, Beth.
Beth admires my year and a half's worth of ponytail.

Susan,
You look beautiful! Congratuations for donating to Locks of Love.
I love the new look! You look fabulous!
Looks great, Susan. Beautiful as always.
Gorgeous new hairdo and what a GREAT thing to do with your hair. A very worth cause and well done!
I second all the previous comments...you look fabulous! :)
A worthy cause! You always look fabulous!
I agree with you about PF. I have heard that from so many people. I may have fallen arches.
I found some Superfeet Green inserts. I put them in the shoes I was wearing outside the store. After 3 weeks of limping, suddenly, I was not. That dull aching pain is slightly there still, but I feel so relieved!
So, I don't know, but I am on the mend and on the fix!
Thank you my friend!
What a precious gift!
Love, love, love the new haircut. You're rocking it! I'm envious though, I would love to have a shorter hairstyle but curly hair doesn't look near as cute as yours does.
I donated my pony-tail, too. I don't know if it is the haircut, but I set a massive 5min PB a few weeks later in a 10 mile race. I now call this my "go fast haircut" :-)
Well done and you look fab!
You look gorgeous dahling! I love it and that is awesome that you donated your hair to locks of love.
